Who Was Don Banks

Don Banks was a tireless advocate for this association, serving on various committees and contributing his time and resources to promote the industry's interests. In an industry characterized by competition, Don Banks stood out for his collaborative spirit. He believed that true success lay in working together to elevate the entire roofing profession. He saw competitors not as rivals but as potential partners in pursuing excellence.
 
He recognized the importance of a unified voice in advocating for fair regulations, promoting safety standards, and enhancing the reputation of the roofing profession. He was a recipient of the Johnny Zamrzla Award along with induction into the RCASoCal Hall of Fame.
 
Recently the training center for the Southern California Roofers And Waterproofers J.A.T.C. dedicated their Roofing and Training Center to Don.
 
In 2008 we created the Don Banks Putting Contest to honor him, and we present a special scholarship in his name from San Marino Roof Company.
