WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

We Need Your Membership or Your Mentorship.
Roofing Contractors Association of Southern California is proud to introduce our Workforce Development initiatives to provide support for roofing installation training and promoting a career in roofing with three important CTE programs.
First, the post secondary level, beginning with the Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education (BPACE) located in Baldwin Park, California. This 500 hour program includes the basics of low slope and steep slope roofing installation in a classroom and hands on setting. After this pilot program concludes, it will be rolled out to educational centers throughout Southern California and eventually the state.
Then, at the high school level with the Skills USA program. We are working to introduce roofing in a school district in each of the counties we serve. Our support will consist of help with curriculum, hands-on materials, tools, financial backing, and to help introduce a contractor mentor for the students.
In addition to helping students get to Skill USA’s regional, state and national competitions. We are reaching out to the educational communities in the four counties we serve to participate in student events and job fairs with our “Consider a Career in Roofing.” Campaign.

We are inspiring the Next Generation of Roofers!
RCASoCal is committed to raising awareness about the opportunities in roofing by connecting with students in schools, training programs, and career fairs. But we can’t do it alone.
